About Us
Live Tobacco-Free Austin is a program of Austin Public Health, Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Program. The mission of Austin Public Health is to prevent disease, promote health, and protect the well-being of our community, with the vision of making Austin/Travis County the healthiest in the nation. Many of the root causes of poor health and chronic disease are due to the way our environment is shaped around us; in our homes, communities, workplaces, and schools. By working as a team to change these space, the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention Program focuses on making tobacco-free living more available to all. We promote tobacco cessation resources, support tobacco prevention efforts, and help create tobacco-free environments through multi-unit housing and workplace-tobacco policies.
Together, we can Live Tobacco-Free Austin!
